We have extensive experience in supporting schools in all aspects of the London MLE (powered by Fronter). From the initial planning stage to advanced usage where the London MLE is fully integrated into the setting, we are able to support in a variety of ways:
Whatever Learning Platform or MLE you use, we can help!
· Strategic Planning
In the SLT1 and SLT2 Meetings we can give an overview of the main features of the MLE, share examples of good practice, answer questions, advise on how to implement the MLE and draw up an action plan. For schools in at a more advanced stage, they can review progress and plan the next steps to be taken.
· Accredited Staff Training
We can run training sessions in the form of INSET, staff meetings or targeted support for individuals e.g. administrators or Teaching Assistants.
· Introduction to the MLE – Staff
This takes the form of a staff inset session, relying on multiple access to computers. By the end, all should be able to create simple content, hand in folders and tests. They should also know how the navigation and communication of the school building works.
· Introduction to the MLE – Students
This takes the form of a demonstration lesson, observed by a number of teachers. Practical tips as well as how to cover safety issues with the class are included so that teachers can roll out the LMLE across their classes.
· Parent’s Meetings
Support in introducing the London MLE to parents. This could include a demonstration, modelling the main features and how they could engage and impact positively on their child’s learning as well as an opportunity to answer specific questions.
· Curriculum Support
Working alongside the school development plan and targeting curriculum leaders to tailor the use of the London MLE creatively for their subject area e.g. poetry performance.
· Raising attainment
Advice on how to use the London MLE to monitor progress and raise attainment e.g. the Goal tool, forums, self and peer assessment, votes, tests, learning paths and portfolios.
Advice and help on using the MLE to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents through the use of forums, the news tool, calendar and messaging.
